James Hudson at just 22yrs old was nominated in the ‘Top 50 under 50 Entrepreneurs in the UK’ (UK Business Insider magazine 2002). As an Industrial Designer, James worked on projects with British Steel, Haagen daz and Redbull before coming to Australia. 

James arrived in Australia in 2004 and worked under the supervision of Mark Tarrant at The Middle Bar, Sydney. Hudson whilst constricted to a working holiday visa, took on the role of Bar Manger at ‘Ruby Rabbit’ in 2006 and was soon General Manager of ‘Lady Lux’ Nightclub - at the peak of its success – when it was ‘the’ place to be seen.

Hudson selected a small team of industry experts as shareholders - and in 2007 Re:Love Pty Ltd was founded. 

Re:Love opened ‘The Rum Diaries in March’ 2008 with huge acclaim. Following the launch of the ‘Rum Diaries’ - Re:love were quickly approached to assist redeveloping hospitality destinations within the Swiss Grand, Bondi Beach. Cream Tangerine and White Revolver were opened in 2009.

During his time as Managing Director of Re:Love Pty Ltd Hudson has been nominated in the ‘Top 50 most influential’ (Australian Bartender Magazine 2010) people in Australia.

Hudson is currently heading up re:love’s asset development program.

Mark Tarrant Started his career at T.G.I Fridays in the early 90’s in England, after spending a valuable four years with the company he moved through Europe running bars and dj’ing in some of the busiest hot spots throughout the Mediterranean. When returning to the UK Mark moved to the Channel Islands to open “Battens” a new Cocktail Bar & Restaurant. Within a year “Battens” was awarded the “Best Bar & Restaurant 1998 in the UK” by the Caterer Magazine. After a couple of years Mark moved to London to manage Capital Radio (Bar & Restaurants) in Leicester Square the flagship of their 18 bars & restaurants.

In 2000 Mark opened the “Middle Bar” in Sydney and was awarded bartender of the year and Bar of the year “Daily Telegraph”. In 2002 he designed and opened the successful Colombian Hotel in Sydney, which consisted of a busy public bar and a cocktail lounge on the second floor. During Marks time in Australia he has worked with Speed Pour Training & Consultancy and Bar Solutions. He has organised exclusive functions for celebrities, industry parties and the Australasian Flair competitions 2002, 2003 & 2004. Mark has also written articles and cocktails for the Daily Telegraph, Ralph Magazine and has been featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, Bartender Magazine, Oyster and liquid magazine. Whilst managing successful bars he has worked with wholesalers advertising and promoting there products at Bar show, and being invited to sit on a panel of speakers. General Manager of Lady Lux, awarded the Alia award for “Night club of the year 2005”.

Mark has also been a consultant and event manager for several companies in Sydney. So far he has organised & finalised contracts for functions which include “The Jack Daniels Awards”, “Marie Clare 10th birthday”, “Lexus IS250 Car Launch”, “Absolut Raspberri”, “Maxxuim Mixology” and “Oyster magazines birthday”. Along with the success of the events Mark has arranged after parties for the functions. Mark has also consulted for the Hilton Hotel “Zeta Bar” he was brought onto the team to help with the training and the opening of the Hotel & was the music consultant for Zeta. Globally Mark consulted for British America tobacco Malaysia developing training modules and educating staff of the top ten venues in KL. In Hong Kong Mark has consulted for Harvey Nicols and Bali opened the Sentosa resort. Mark is overseeing operations out of Re:Love's HQ.

Co-founder and designer of The Rum Diaries, Cream Tangerine and White Revolver, Mark Bowey has a long track record as an Art Director and visual stylist, in both branding and motion design, and has worked across major feature films and broadcast packages.. He directed and designed the titles for The Umbilical Brothers' The Upside Down Show, which won a Daytime Emmy Award for "Most Outstanding Titles Design" in 2007.

Hudson, Tarrant and Bowey founded Re:love at the close of 2007, spending a busy 2008 creating the brand strategies for; and developing, designing and building "The Rum Diaries" and "Cream Tangerine" swiftly followed by "White Revolver" in May 2009.

Bowey has recently left his full-time role as Art Director at Foxtel Design, where he directed promos for Foxtel's coverage of the Commonwealth Games, and major broadcast packages for the BBC and UKTV, and has joined Sydney design studio Motionia.
